A minor in data analytics offers a valuable professional development opportunity for students by equipping them with in-demand skills that can complement a student’s major.
In today’s data-driven world, the ability to collect, interpret, and communicate data insights is a growing demand in the workforce. Employees who can turn complex data into actionable insights, improve efficiency, and support strategic goals can help make Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»ful contributions in virtually any industry.
Interdisciplinary Accessibility:
- The DATA courses are designed to be accessible to students without prior advanced mathematics or computer science knowledge.
- Some foundational data analytics content has been integrated into MATH 140, Practical Statistics.
- This minor is open to all majors.
Professional Development:
- Through completion of the DATA 315, Data Analytics course students will have the opportunity to earn digital badges and a certification in Data Analytics.
- These certifications are optional but encouraged to enhance professional portfolios.
