Spring Break With a Difference: Engage the world through service for a week!
Interested in doing something completely different over Spring Break? Chaplain Derek leads a trip in conjunction with Westminster College to Western North Carolina to take part in ongoing recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene. We leave Saturday morning at the start of Spring Break, spend Sunday doing sightseeing and adventures in the Asheville, North Carolina area, then spend the week working with local agencies. Past trips have worked with Habitat for Humanity, CORE, Montreat Camp and Conference Center, and the City of Asheville Community Garden program. There is no cost to attend the trip – you just need a good attitude and a willingness to learn new skills and help others. Contact Chaplain Derek (derekw@muskingum.edu) for more information!
