Professor of History Dr. Laura J. Hilton is commended for her leadership in Holocaust education through two 鶹ýӳful professional development events. She led a teacher training workshop entitled “Jewish Resistance & Rescue During the Holocaust” on Saturday, February 14 in Columbus, Ohio, organized by the Ohio Holocaust and Genocide Memorial and Education Commission for grades 7–12 English Language Arts and Social Studies educators, providing continuing education units for participants.
In addition, Dr. Hilton conducted a separate day-long workshop on teaching the Holocaust for more than 50 middle and high school teachers, in partnership with Congregation Beth Tikvah in Worthington, Ohio, equipping educators with essential knowledge and effective instructional strategies to bring Holocaust studies into their classrooms.
