Multi-Age Art and Music Education
The Multi-Age Education program prepares individuals to teach in Pre-K through 12th grade in either Music or Visual Arts. With one of these majors, you will become a licensed teacher in the state of Ohio who encourages, equips, and empowers students in grades pre-K through 12 to reach their highest potential.

- Pedagogy and content preparation in art or music from a variety of content experts in the Education, Art, and Music Departments
- Beginning in the first semester, complete field experiences in K-12 classrooms throughout their 4 years in the MU Education Program
- Multiple opportunities to interact with K-12 students, one-on-one, in small groups, and full class discussions

Earn your teaching license from the State of Ohio in Special Education, grades K-12.
Graduates find employment in public and private pre-schools, school districts, and other early childhood educational settings.
Muskingum University offers programs that lead to licensure or certification. These programs prepare students for licensure or certification based on the requirements set by the State of Ohio. Students who plan to seek licensure or certification in other states will need to contact that State Licensure Board for specific requirements.
